Probably the most exciting and challenging PADI course will allow you to expand and consolidate your skills and knowledge in diving rescue. The philosophy of the Rescue Diver course is that there is seldom just one right way to conduct a rescue, but there are always a number of options available, between which the rescuer can choose, taking into account external circumstances.
In the pool training you will learn the 10 basic exercises of emergency management. The open water training will take place on two days, where the exercises will be applied under “real” conditions. Finally, you will be allowed to independently apply and organize the skills you have learned in two training scenarios.
After the PADI Rescue River Course you are well prepared to start your professional career as a PADI Divemaster!
You’ll use your basic scuba equipment and will need a pocket mask to practice in-water resuscitation. During exercises, you’ll work with an oxygen unit, floats, marker buoys and perhaps CPR mannequins. Your PADI Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as your own first aid kit, which will be useful throughout your diving career.
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:
