The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic
principles of scuba diving Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

- Practical diving theory
- 5 theory units with final test
- Safe diving
- Training on diving equipment in the swimming pool
- Lessons as preparation for scuba diving in open water
- Proper diving
- 4 open water dives under the supervision of an instructor
- When you register for your course we will set your starting date, you will have 5 pool dates, 1 theory date and 2 days or a weekend for the open water dives. These dates are fixed for you.

Open Water Diver Vacation Special mit Nitrox Spezialität – EANx-Kurs
After completing the Open Water Diver course you can continue directly with the Nitrox Specialty. This is a purely theoretical course without additional dives and an absolute must for every diver, because almost everywhere in the world Nitrox is offered for free.
The main advantages are:
Nitrox mixes contain a higher percentage of oxygen, which increases your no-decompression time and shortens your surface interval. Especially for diving vacations with many repetitive dives, diving with Nitrox is a real benefit.

Open Water Diver only pool and theory at Coral Dive Center- Open Water dives in the ocean
You want to do your pool training and theory with us at the Divercenter, but the final open water dives on vacation – no problem we offer all beginner courses without the open water dives. After successful completion you will receive a recommendation form which you can use to complete your course at any PADI Dive Center worldwide.
The PADI Online Open Water Diver course gives you the dive theory section you need to know. You develop the other practical skills while diving yourself with a PADI instructor at our Coral Dive Center or optionally at any PADI Dive Center worldwide.
How does it work?
Click here on the link. After registration the PADI eLearning System will introduce you to the interactive presentations, including videos, graphics, spoken text and reading. Using short quizzes you can measure your progress and review and correct any learning content that you may not have fully understood. This allows you to progress through the program efficiently at your own pace.
How much does it cost?
The fee for the PADI Online Open Water Diver course is 198.00 € and is non-refundable. This fee covers your knowledge transfer and gives you unlimited access to an electronic version of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual, the course manual. You can continue your training in the water with us at Coral-Dive-Center.
